Film better than the book

Some silly boy on Come dine with me saying who needs to read a book over 15 days when you could watch it in 2 hours via a film

Eejut!! I have NEVER seen a film that does justice to a book

Only one that has come close for me is Silence of the lambs

Otherwise....err.......no films!I stand to be corrected

The Shawshank Redemption was just as good as the short story "Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption"

The Lord of Rings trilogy - EQUALLY as good as the books IMO

I agree, though they "modernised" some of the relationships between some of the main characters. The end result is still complex but compelling. Would have liked to see the purging of the shire in the main storyline though.
