Gift Ideas
Looking for gift idea, my brother in law has just retired at 48 and it going to France to put up marquees/tents for 3-4 months on campsite etc.
I was looking for a gift that would tie in with his "adventure", but cant really think of anything appropriate.
We've already discounted Kindle, iPxd etc.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks
M

It depends if its something useful or meaning full.
If its something usefull a survial kit.
If its something meaningful then a fancy compass that is a show piece.

Get him binoculars; that's if he is into bird watching etc. if not, get him a good pair of shoes. You know, those expensive steel toe-thick sole ones; to suit his outdoor work in France. On the same theme, you can get him some waterproofs/windsheeter jacket, but I don't know whehther France is that rainy or windy. You may like to get him some top of the range designers sunglasses so that when he is looking up at the peak of the tent he has set, his eyes don't get blinded by the sun. You can also get him a hamper with suncare stuff. Good sun care stuff is not cheap. He will thank you for getting him a supply for 4 months. o, there are plenty of ideas. Sky is the limit.
Actually, ask him what he likes. Then buy the gift of his choice. I don't think he is that bothered about the surprises at 48. I reckon he'd rather have what he'd put to use.
