Diesel nicked 3 times in 2 weeks
So having got a Disco about 2 weeks ago someone has now stolen the diesel out of it 3 times, first time I assumed my mind was playing tricks on me second time they even left the flap open so then I made sure there was only 4 quids worth in it and low and behold having not diven it for a few days I go out and see the tell tale splash of diesel down the side and the tank is dry. I really really hope the theiving scumbag cfomes back tonight.

You're lucky they're just syphoning it, the usual way these days is to drill the tank and let it drain out. They might get half a tank, the other half ends up on the floor, and you have a tank to replace.

As a slight aside
Jenny's dad had his sat-nav and binoculars nicked out of his audi - he finished shopping, loaded up the car and took the trolley back, they got into his car and nicked them whilst he was taking the trolley back to the trolley point close by. Police said this is happening more and more. - Lock your cars at all times!

It used to be a very nice one, plenty of 3-4 bed houses still 300k+ a 4 bed just up the road is 475k it was considered a very nice village to live in, then they built some poor people housing right near my house and it seems a small number of poor poeple can cause alot of crime.

Probably someone from near you for sure.I remember some years a go,a guy near me kept having his diesel nicked out of his transit,he stayed awake at nights until the fuel thief returned. He was gobsmacked when he seen it was a neighbour and someone he knew.

I'd have printed off pics of him in the act with his name and address and posted them all over the neighbourhood warning others of his antics, and hopefully embarrassing him to leave the area. Then kicked the crap out of him as he walked home from the pub one dark night.

That is if the Police actually bother with this sort of thing these days?

A print is a print and surely just a few hours later will still be ok even if outside unless pissing with rain?
I saw them take a print off a car window in CSI BTW.

I have found a locking cap on amazon but I want to catch the pikey responsable, I was thinking to put somthing in the tank to cause a problem but petrol would be too easy to spoit.

When he finally got caught they couldn't pinpoint where the red had come from - only that some of it was red.
Only thing they could do him for was stealing the 4 25L drums he used to fill up. He didn't actually get done for fuel theft. Crazy!!

If I filled my tank with a diesel washing up liquid mix would simply draining my own tank get rid of enough to stop me killing my own engine when I started to use the car again ?
