Evening all,
Mrs 500 recently took redundancy after working somewhere since leaving uni, she then was able to get back into work, a 3 month contract working for someone via an agency, she had to set up a limited company and take out liability insurance etc, the agency pays her.
She has been offered another contract (9 months and double what she is on with current agency) with basically the same group of companies through a different agency but has just found out that she won't be able to take it as agency 1 has her in contract for 12 months and she can not go to another agency.
Is this going to be easy to get out of, i.e a formal letter of terminating the contract as soon as the 3 months are up? or is she going to have to let this one go and learn from experience?
She did 'opt out' but only after they asked before she started the post, and they have (1 month in to contract) only just asked for credit check details, could she say she is terminating contract due to incompetance?
TIA

I presume that the agency have obligations under her current contract? like to ensure they provide her work for the same period... the contract should stipulate what those conditions are as well as any penalties for early termination (by either party).
