TopGear.. anyone else sick of it?
Not had chance to catch up on the new series of TG since it started, so it's all been recorded to the hard drive on the BT vision.
This weekend I told my wife to delete them as can't be bothered to watch it any more.
The last one I saw was the India 'special' with the Jag Roller and Mini.
Even that one I felt was totally stupid and spoilt by wrecking perfectly good clean cars.
Why oh why has TG gone so daft that it seems to appeal to juvenile delinquents.
and Hammond...... if there was ever anyone on TV that comes across as acting it's him!!!
Can't they go back to the old style TG where they talk about cars.. and not doing some daft challenge that takes up most of the hour programme.
Bring back a serious TG please.

Why oh why do so many people take this subject so seriously and almost personally. It's a TV programme that you don't like so don't watch it. It is THAT simple!

When TG was 'serious' it was just another TV magazine programme with appropriate viewing figures considering the subject matter.
The current alternative format is largely regarded as one of, if not the most watched car related programmes on the planet, being shown in over 40 different countries. They can't all be wrong.
Of course they make the odd turkey, but that is to be expected.
As said if you don't like it, there's nobody forcing you to watch it.

I think the trouble is that topgear created some amazing TV in the past and now cannot match it. The epic races, trips to the jungle and to the south pole were all epic and at times the production values put hollywood to shame. They probably could never better what they have done before unless they get some motorbikes and ghost rider involved.
In comparison even a great show like last weeks still does not measure up.

Yes I think I am now sick of it and it saddens me to realise this.
I often watch repeats of old series on Dave and lots of the antics crack me up.
Now it just seems to have run out of ideas and the fun has gone. This series was utter ****e except for the mobility scooter bit which was mildly funny. The worst thing is the JC has become a pastiche of himself and I am not sure he enjoys it.

Oh God, not again.
No I am not getting sick of it. It is enternment, nothing more.
It's just 3 middle-aged men, cocking about.
Don't like it? Don't watch. Also take a good long look at yourself and wonder why you don't laugh at anything anymore!

I think you made a mistake S-K. The India Special was sh1te, but this series has been a vast improvement IMO. Proper car related articles, decent guests, some real lol's.
You should have watched them and formed your own opinion of course. At least you can blame the wife, and see them in a couple of weeks when repeated on Dave.

I recorded one and fell asleep watching one episode so rewound it and kept doing it but could not stay awake to save my life lol!
It shows it is getting beyond it's sell by date as a series now makes up a handful of episodes.

To the moaners and gripers, a very serious case of "careful what you wish for" here. If TG in its present guise was axed, based on the rest of its output any Beeb replacement would be the direst and most propaganda-ridden PC global-warmist dross you could possibly imagine. Of course, if that's your bag, moan on all you like ...
