I'm not sure about this .... if I was a young teenager I'm not sure that I should know that the Titanic was real. If I did any research then yes, but it isn't taught in schools .... how many people know about the Hindenburg disaster for example?

We were taught about the Titanic and the Hindenburg at school? What do they teach them nowadays then? Because it certainly isnt English
Just reminded me
Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will
philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize
that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were
noble and children respected their elders.
You're not paying attention, no its not. The Iceberg was real though, probably melted now though.
there was a very interesting program on the iceberg on iplayer, they have found evidence that it may have carved a big ditch in the place when it left land and entred the sea.
A friend of mine was in her twenties before she found out who Hitler was...
I can understand not paying attention in History but how could you not hear about him in films and TV?

I did a project on the Hindenburg disaster at the age of twelve. I would expect most reasonably intelligent people to have some knowledge of this event (Hindenburg not my project).
