Cheap Nilfisk over cheap Karcher any day...
Look at flow rate and pressure when comparing cleaning power. The pressure is the "speed" of the water, the "flow rate" is the volume of water travelling at that speed.
Ideally you want high flow rate AND high pressure. High pressure alone is pretty useless if the flow rate is minimal.

From all I read it turns out that the great world of pressure washers is filled with unreliable machines that fail sooner rather than later in most cases. Occasionally you get lucky and one lasts a good few years....
Karcher working fine for me at the moment thanks

I think I'd probably go for Nilkfisk for the small home washer.
I used to repair and service pressure washers and have been waiting for an old steamer to come up on ebay. Watching this at the moment.

They look complicated but really aren't.

Are Karcher attachments compatible with Nilfisk? I ask as I've just thrown my third Karcher in five years into the skip but have lots of attachments for them.

Which nilfisk compares to this karcher - or maybe better..

You'd be looking at this (E130 package @ £189):
http://www.cleanstore.co.uk/products...ct.asp?ID=7464
or this (E140 package @ £257):
http://www.cleanstore.co.uk/products...ct.asp?ID=1003
or, for the semi-pro model, this (P150 package @ £333):
http://www.cleanstore.co.uk/products...ct.asp?ID=5646
Once our hosepipe ban has been lifted I think I'm taking the plunge on a P150 - and will get an adaptor for all of my Karcher accessories.

The one that Lidls are offering for £89.99 seems to be decent quality and the one I have just bought works well. Handy too because it is on wheels so is easy to move around the place.

The one in lidl looked good regards spec etc but from the little bit off research I done on it it would appear its not been without its faults over the years that it's been sold via lidl, pity as I see it uses the lavor type connector which would have been a straight fit for my ab snow foam gun.
Just been reading the many reviews on amazon for that £58 nilfisk one and must admitt it certainly seems to receive many glowing user reports, worth a read if anyone like myself is in the market for a new washer.

Okay les no probs mate, as I say it's a great price for a superb spec which I seriously considered especially with the three year warranty it comes with, a search via google revealed a good few users reporting the lance to split within the first year off using, may well be a design fault on the last lot that were being sold by lidl and have now been redesigned, anyway again any probs and you have the three year warranty anyway.
How do you find the power off the thing compared to others you may have used ?
