Angry Silvatec bulbs......not in THIS town!

Just been to EVERY outlet, motor factor, Halfords, carshop etc in Scunthorpe to buy a new silver front indicator bulb. Could I get one? Nope, unless I wanted to pay £14 at Hell Frauds.

Came home, entered silvatec onto ebay and have ordered a pair for under £5.

Carshop people say they stopped stocking them because they were too dear and you could get them for less than 1/3 price off e-bay.......Duh! Sell them cheaper then!

You're better off with Philips Silvervision bulbs as the chroming is not so thick making them brighter when flashing...........

Phillips ones are legal, a lot on eBay are not.
Mate bought his off eBay and you couldnt see them in daylight they were that dim.
Chucked them and fitted the Phillips ones and soooo much brighter.

I'm fact, I've had Phillips ones in mine for past six years and still going strong.

My previous were Silvatec, bought from TSL, when I would deal with them.......

They have been OK visibility wise, except when in a smoked lens. The new lens is clear.

I used to hardly ever use eBayer, but the last 6 months I've been pretty much buying everything off there because a lot of the items are cheaper than on other websites Those eBay shops which people set-up are brilliant
