Default Halfords Industrial tool chest

are these any good?

looks like they have a good deal on at the mo, if you buy the bottom part for £320, you get the top part free (260)

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_255214

or is this the sort of deal that they run all of the time?

thanks
ian

I think they're quite a good tool box, seem pricey but if the other one is thrown in for nothing then it doesn't seem too bad. If you've not already, get signed up to quidco and you'll get another 4.5% cashback if you register your card with them and use it to pay instore at Halfords.

http://www.quidco.com/user/344588/

Other than that, check out ebay, I've seen new ones on there before cheaper than Halfords.

buy the display one in the shop when the offer is near running out and you should get it all for the top parts price.. This is what my dad did as it was a little scratched

I have the Professional Red Tool Chests - base and top ... they generally do them at the same 'sale' price.

I rate them very highly indeed and I do pride myself on having the best tool in town!

just ordered a set up in my local halfords.

i had a look online today, and the offer has come off and a £30 price increase. so im guessing that the stores will follow.

went into my local one, and they had put up the new increased price on the cabnet, but they still had the offer of free top box, and in the smaller print it saud about the cabent being at the lower price.

so ive ordered them and going to pick them up tomorrow.

hopefully they will make it easyer to fine the tools now. one thing i didnt know, was how heavy they are. they are 74kg both together!!

Picked one of the Halfords industrial Base units for £100 last weekend!
Not brand new, but so little use that the drawer liners are still in perfect condition and not a scratch on it.

Not up to Snap On quality, but still good enough for trade use if needed.

There was a big discussion on PassonFord, consensus was get a second hand SnapOn, but then it depends if you are in the trade and succumb to badge snobbery and need the absolute best quality.

I have looked at the Halfords one and it seemed good quality, get some pictures up Ian
