I've only ever seen one on the road. You forget just what a monumental car they were, and i fell in love with them again in the summer...

Nice pic above . I was on the M4 by Reading heading eastbound. Only ever seen one other that very rarely gets taken out around the hills at the top of Clevedon and Portishead. Think it belongs to the bloke who owns about every single supercar/prestige car going with his premium courtesy car business.
Often seen him a Zonda and sometimes the F40, basically all the cars the company owns are his so whatever isnt out with a customer he can use.

Seen him turn up in this at a local pub when they first came out.

Still have the F40 though

I was coming down the slip road onto the M40 a couple of years ago and as I was joining the motorway I saw the obvious Ferrari rosso coming down about 300 m behind me. I got out into the middle lane purposely to see what was obviously an F40. Awe inspiring is the best way to describe how it swooped to the fast lane, and roared past everybody.

I was over excited, the Mrs was unimpressed. What is it with women?

That should work, I adapted it from the mobile site URL. Be prepared for the usual Pistonheads infighting and backbiting.

love the bit about being easy to maintain yourself, can just imagine the faces of the people at gsf and euro carparts if you turn up wanting a list of service items for that

A bloke down the road from us has got one of those and he goes shopping in it sometimes! Sounds lovely as it bumbles through the town centre.

I've got 2 model F40's i love them

I remember the first time i ever saw one. I was on a coach on a school trip and all the kids rushed to the windows and there it was an F40 on the side of the road with the rear sticking up

I saw one of the new sportsback/estate Fezzas, on the way home through a business park in Farnborough.

In that bronzy/charcoal-grey colour, so obviously the owner wanted everyone to think he'd bought a Volvo
