Or, depending on your interpretation of the term 'apparently', a complete load of tosh:

Hence "apparently". Dictionaries are available

tried to find a copy a couple of years ago, to link to on either here or PH and couldnt find it anywhere. There was talk then about it being a hoax, and now its being dismissed as a myth.
The only myth, as far as I am concerned, is that it was a myth. At this rate itll be as well buried as his connection to the childrens home where abused victims were murdered, and necrophilia stories (from his bizarre voluntry work as a porter moving dead bodies around the hospital).

Disappointing that he was a vile pervert, or disappointing that people have the gall to mention it after he raised so much money for charity?

When is the exposé on telly? Wasn't it supposed to be tonight?
According to the papers, Panorama (wasn't it them?) are showing something about NHS free-riders, not Jimmy Savile?

I have heard rumours in the past about another 'national treasure's' penchant for boys. An acquaintance of mine (since died) who worked as a stage hand said it was very odd. Sir ***** in them days (sixties/seventies) always had young lads in his tour bus.

Well the BBC are certainly making noises noises now about how they 'will help in any way possible'.... so they have'nt denied it!
If the BBC knew that it was going on & shushed it up there will be absolute hell to pay

It's all very disturbing. Given all the stories surfacing, I think there has to be some truth to them.

This 'tour' bus - would it have been an old red Routemaster?

Was thinking the same thing, also heard the stories about him having a friend in very high places within the Police who got him out of the **** on a couple of instances, no wonder Sue Barker didn't hang about......
