Default WRC crash

Anyone see that crash on the news?

Didn't catch who it was but went off through what looked like a vineyard and hit an electricity pylon which fell, wires shorting out onto spectators cars

Is that for real? Seems a bit weird he crossed a road and continued driving blind through a another section of vineyard.

In his interview he said he thought he could find his way back to the road, not sure his pace notes cover that I'm a Solberg fan, but I thought this was just reckless

Do they have a test run of the routes at all?I'm not saying he is a rubbish driver, more im amazed how the cars stick to the twisties at those speeds.

The footage on the news was better as it wasn't edited between shots like that, it was just one continuous shot from above. That video looks like something off a film setup.

That's some trust if they have never done the roads before.

I guess I need to trust my satnav more

Thing is if he'd have pulled it off and found the road/track again, people (perhaps even some on here) would be praising him for his skill and *****

Nobody injured then at a guess which is fortunate.

Another perspective...

Really shows just how lucky he was not to kill anyone!

Very reckless, looked like he was smiling a bit. He deserves a fine for that.
