I have Sky going up to the tv in the bedroom using the RF2 output on my decoderin the livingroom. The co-axial goes through an amp in the roofspace then into the "arial in" on the tv. My freeview signal is a bit ropey as technically it isnt getting any input from an arial.
is it possible to get both on a tv ? If so , how do i wire it , and where do i connect into ?

no you run a feed direct from the aerial then the rf2 cable into the amplifier , if your aerial is up to it. if its not a good signal you're pissing in the wind

on your sky box theres 3 coaxial sockets 1 input 1 output (downstairs tv) RF2 to your secondary tv's (playback)
the signal from your aerial goes into the aerial input on the box, the sky box then collates your freeview and sky analogue signal out of RF1 and RF2. This is how it needs to be wired

Thats pretty much the way i have it , so it must just need an aerial upgrade , or adjusted then .
The upstairs tv has freeview built in , so will it pick up enough signal going from the aerial on the roof , down to Sky , back up again ?

I have it set up like this with three Freeview TVs on the RF2 output from the Sky box and they all get a decent signal. I do have a fairly new aerial though, so its probably a strong signal in the first place.

I had a similar set up.
I Used a Y connecter to bring the 2 cables into one which went into the back of the TV
Recently they switched the analogue signal off in my area and changed the modulation of freeview.
This was the same modulation as the sky which caused the picture to be very poor. I had to change the modulation in the sky box settings.

The Sky box has another coaxial output which you can use to feed your second TV.
You should be able to feed your main tv with a scart and also a coaxial output and also use the second coaxial output from the Sky box for your second tv.

It goes through an amp in the roofspace before the drop to the tv in the bedroom. I just not sure if it is loosing too much signal by the time it gets to the amp as it goes from the aerial on the roof to downstairs, through Sky , then up to amp , then to bedroom TV.
