When I did it I booked a week in Scotland and the plan was to walk to the top of ben nevis on xmas eve and propose there...

Came down proper ill and ended up doing it looking a mess in our pj's. On my knee while corry was on and the response I got back was "Are you joking"...

Too be honest pal,i don't know what type your mrs is,but to be on top of a cold mountain on christmas eve proposing,trying to slide the ring on her cold swollen finger don't sound like fun..

All you need is a country cabin in Scotland with a cosy log fire,a bottle of bubbly,and a **** pile carpet ..after she says yes then you can drag her up the mountain the next day...

And yes I booked a real log cabin with fire and all the works right on loch ness. was an amazing time shame we were sick.
(we both like walking the dogs and had previously discussed walking them up there)
She said yes eventually and the thought of brown was making me feel worse so we sat there watching Corry and. Sipping a lemsip.
