You have my sympathy. I had 4th and 5th cranial nerve shingles in 2001. **** me that was painful. I was off work for about a month.

I am sorry to hear that. My Air Electronics Officer contracted that in the USA when we were out there on a duty flight. They had to fly him back on a transport aircraft and send another AEO out to join my crew.

No point in trying to hide that it is not very pleasant. I hope its not too bad for you anyway.

My sympathies to you! My sister had them about three years ago and it really knocked her about.
She had them all up her spine, something to do with recent nerve damage.

Had this myself a few years ago, brought on by stress at work. I got shingles round my neck and shoulders and was off work for a while. Be aware that the side effects can run on for quiet a few months after, even 6 months after the shingles had cleared my skin was very sensitive and instead of wearing shirts for work, it was t-shirts for quiet some time.
