Farley's Rusks and Ready Brek...
...Faaaaar too precious to be 'wasted' on sodding babies/toddlers/kids!
Who still loves these two great stalwarts of the breakfast cereal fraternity?... And at ANY time of day, to boot!

Rusks are awesome, my missus used to buy the low sugar type which were a pale shadow, like diet Vimto vs Vimto, so I insisted ona box of the original ones, I then got in trouble for giving the baby a full fat one which meant he wanted those then only from the red box and rejected those from the blue box.

Totally. I only get the full fat, red box ones - the box of 18s.
The branding on the box is a bit weak - what with the red-brown muted coluring and that stupid bear.
Whatever happened to the classic original pink-red box with the rusks on the front - far better and instantly recognisable. The box on the extreme right (half out of frame)...

They are missing a trick.
If I were in their marketing department I woul dhave an ad with a dad secretely noshing juniors Rusks and getting caught, make the point that there is nothing stopping adults eating them and they are still awesome for babies, sales double !
Rusks Twin Packs for Lunch boxes perhaps, I would buy them.
Better than those Belvita things.

Never had rusks, but grew up on Ready Brek and now my kids love it too. Now that winter's drawing in, they'll be getting their daily helpings. Another one I grew up with is Marmite on toast, though they're not a big fan of it fortunately which means more for me!

My Missus used to work for them in admin. as they were based in Plymouth.
The original family firm was stuffed by a spurious "Salmonella in baby milk" scare.
The site is now a Morrison's, such is progress!

You have Farley's Rusk and Ready Brek when you haven't grown any teeth, or lost them all.
I personally love crunchy Corn Flakes (has to be the Kellogg's one) any time of the day.

Happy to please, I say, Joz! Happy to please, man. [/off]
LOL.
Kellogg's Corn Flakes (proper one; not that diet red dress one) rocks.

Almost wet myself with the excitement and anticipation (based on childhood memories)...... But was disappointed.
Must be to do with the unique way a kid's brain is wired compared to an 'adult's' : things are either "way-out awesome!!" or "unbelievably pants!" lol

I remembered the rusks from when my little brother was a baby. So when my son was born last year and started weening... Guess what daddy bought.
I also cannot beat a nice big bowl of Ready Brek with a little sugar. I eat it cold mind, never understood why people eat Ready Brek warm, tastes vile. Cold Ready Brek is fantastic with fridge cold semi skimmed, om-nom-nom-nom
