NEW SKY+ EPG...!!!

NEW SKY+ EPG...!!!
It was downloaded OTA last night to my digibox.
What do people think to it?
I like the fact it now has the equivalent to a PC's Recycle Bin i.e. when you delete a prog, it goes into a DELETED menu where, should you so desire, you can restore it again into either the RECORDED or VIEWED menus. (And obviously also be able to delete it for good).
Otherwise, business as usual (apart from you can now see 8 channels per page, instead of the previous EPG's 6).

With the latest update Anytime should now be 'on demand' and you should have BBC Iplayer, ITVPlayer, Sky catch up and 5 on demand - as long as your box is connected to the web you can use these. 4OD won't appear till Q1 next year. Not all HD boxes have had the update yet, but all should be done by the end of November.
I phoned Sky yesterday as I bought one of the wireless network adaptors last month from Sky in prep for this - they were £9.99 but are now £22. It's a Netgear wireless LAN adaptor - wish I'd bought a few, using it on my Samsung TV just now

Could be to do with which box you have then, as I never have my phone line plugged in. I have the 1TB box. Which is yours?
TBH I didn't know about the 'deleted' bit until tonight, but TBH when I go into planner I never scroll left only straight down onto the programmes

FYI Before moving house we had Sky HD, Sports, Phone & BB, it was costing £90 per month. I cancelled it and now, two months later they are offering me half price Sky for 12 months (including films & sports) and £50 refund on my next bill! It might be worth making that one call!

Blimey, mine updated 2+ months ago at least, where you all been? Lol
Jods... There are 2 apps for Sky.
Sky Go allows you to watch sky progs on 'other' devices, eg your ipad.
Sky+ allows you to use your ipad as a remote control, stop, start planning, remote record etc.
Are you confusing the two?

Just cancelled Sky and we are having Virgin installed at the weekend, I can't watch catch up TV without it buffering every few minutes, I know it's not Sky's fault but my broadband speed is a joke and everything is becoming reliant on it too, I haven't played Xbox live for over a year now as its just unplayable

Allan, do you have non-Sky+ box - i.e. no-recording facility (it's sounding like that's the case).
If so, I reckon the the only EPG suitable for your regular digibox is indeed the "Mk 1" one.
But you can force a download, just to see what happens:-
1) Unplug the "8"-plug of the power cord from the rear of the digibox.
2) Keep finger pressed on the "Backup" button on the box (not the remote).
3) With "Backup" still pressed in, re-plug-in the power cord.
4) Keep finger on "Backup" for about 10 secs until a message appears on screen and all the lights on the front panel light up.
5) Take finger off "Backup".
6) The software is cycling and will be downloaded - it can be as quick as a minute or two, but as long as c.10 mins.
7) When it's complete, the lights go out and the box reboots and a channel shows. If it doesn't automatically switch on, leave it for 5 mins and press "On/standby" button to turn on.
8) If suitable, you should now see the latest EPG (but I doubt it - see above).

I've had this latest EPG for weeks
Also under the previous EPG if you were watching a recording and had a reminder set for another channel, it wouldn't change to that channel when you hit select. I complained to them bitterly about this for weeks and its now fixed in this latest EPG.
So you can thank me for that
