Far too early to put the tree up yet, do you all live on a council estate?

Do any of you know that Christmas is a religious celebration? It's not a competition to outdo each other with the most brightly lit house.
Why do it?, is it to show the neighbours that you are devout Christians that go to church regularly or are you just showing off?

They are only up as the mrs and kids love them.
Personally I hate the bloody things, they drive me nuts, I hate putting them up and cannot wait till the day they come down.
I'm working over Christmas too so they won't bother me that much, she buys another one every year
They do help the CCTV though as everything's lit up more

We're going tree shopping later, it's more for Ellie (2) .
You'll never catch lights outside our house , round my way it tends to be the Chav houses that have them and don't get taken down till February

It's more the people who consider themselves too posh for lights, that the percentage being chavs.
Personally I can't afford to spend the cash.

I'm far from posh, Kirkby in Ashfield is certainly not posh quite the opposite.
I just think a lot of them look tacky, if its done well then not too bad but round here it ain't

If anyone here lives in MK or is taking a trip here do drive through Summer hayes in Great linford.
I belive it's in their morgage contracts that every house has to put a display up outside. It's insane and all money goes to a local charity.
