Trains should run over Christmas
IMHO anyway.
Trains are an essential service and should run over Christmas to allow families to travel and to make it easier for essential workers to get to work.
Agree?

How many people use trains normally to see their families? I drive, and if I want to see them I stay sober and take the car or get a taxi.
Remember train drivers have families too and want to spend time with them, not stuck on a train where drunken ar%eholes will probably give them grief.

Have a look at tube drivers and their strikes over the last 3 Boxing days! Their pay and perks as it is http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukne...18-a-year.html
Expect driverless tube trains soon and not much sympathy from the public. Also saves them from: "drunken ar%eholes" giving them grief and more time to spend with their families.

OK for the tracks that need work then close them as necessary but that's not the whole network obviously.
