Why not? How much easier is it toget everything in one place. Costco have been doing it for years.

Very expensive for mine. Clickontyres.com still offer the best tyres and the best prices for me and they are local as well.

Can't say i'm too surprised, i've seen them on the shelves in Walmart in the U.S.
Tesco used to sell them too, maybe they still do?

The mark up on tyres is ridiculous. Bring on ASDA.

Perfectly understandable...there is quite a profit margin in tyres from wholesale to retail. Especially the with budget tyres.

And just checked...a pair of Michelin Pilot Sport 3s to fit my Golf work out at £3.90 each cheaper than what I can get at trade supply (not fitted) from our wholesaler.

Nanknag NS2 - Asda = £58.84 - Camskill = £37.95
Avon ZZ3 - Asda = £87.15 - Camskill = £67.00
Michelin PS3 - Asda = £110.43 - Camskill = £90.60

£20 dearer on every tyre (based on 205/45/16) !

Just looked for my car, Focus ST and they are no better than Black circles on anything decent, some people might like the budget tyre range but I wouldn't be putting them on my car.

Nope, add £12 for delivery for a set of 4. I get mine fitted locally for £20 a set, actually paid £30 for 2 sets at the same time last week. So, add £32 for a set over the £80 premium from Asda.

I didn't there was a massive margin on anything these day, unless there is some dodgy price fixing going on in this industry?

I bought the new GoPro 3 Black Edition online recently which had a 20% discount. Apparently the dealer got in hot water with GoPro for discounting it so much. Surely, these people can't stipulate what you sell their goods for, not legally anyway?

tesco have been doin it for ages through black circles and we are a dealer and do quite alot for them .

the markup on tyres is minimal

if i make £10-15 on an average tyre im doing well

camskills only make about on avarage £1 per tyre but they recouperate their money through a rebate system from manufacturers where if you sell 100 tyres of a brand you get a certain amount back , do that for 100+ manufactures and you make money easily enough after time , they have sewn up the market that way ,but have also fecked up the market in others if you know what i mean, because you get people price matching from them and you will never be able to sell nowt as we wont make nothing etc etc

we make money by charging people to fit their own tyres which i can price accordingly how i want , normally £12-£20 a tyre so by the time you have had them fitted you dont actually save alot tbh through , time waisted/delivery/phoning around etc etc

just my view but peoples perception of tyre markups is way off the mark , i asked a guy last week when he was moaning about a tyre price (£120) how much do you think i make on a tyre . he said £80 . i nearly shat myself laughing and fell of my chair and told him would i be sitting selling tyres if i made that much on a tyr id be on my yacht im the med sipping cocktails lol

juat my 10 pence worth
