As above really. I'm moving house next month and thought about clearing out some of the crap that naturally accumulates.
Things mostly like DVD's, CD's, old bits and bobs like computer cables, keyboards, mice, all them autobiographies you get at Christmas etc etc.
Worth getting up at 5am and paying £10 for a stall - do people really want this old stuff?
Cheers,
Scott

One person's coal can be another person's diamond, I suppose.![](http://www.americananglersfishing.com/Smileys/default/shrug.gif)
I haven't been to a car boot sale for years. I must visit one this summer. You can find some amazing things there. I once bought some old irons and cobbler's shoe rests (I think that's what you call that thing) from one car boot. They're great door stoppers, as we all know.

I love a day out once in a while eating burgers looking round car boots.
Last one we did a couple years ago we made £120 on the Sunday and £80 on the bank holiday Monday, mainly from selling DVDs Xbox games

I can't see anything wrong with anyone wanting to sell their tat and earning a bit of their hard-spent cash back. It can be a good day out for the families. I've seen some happy families with little kids etc. with their car boots full of junk; open for public sale (kids excluded from sale, of course).
I think car boot sales are good community events. Much better than flogging things via your PC, and then dealing with the dispute emails that your good looked Harrodian in the picture but turned out to be LIDLian in reality. Now they want their money back. Then people come crying in SN, slagging Ebay off. <shakes head>
I think people should do more car boot sales than internet selling of their secondhand goods. Much more real, that.

I kid you not but I have a friend who goes to clothes banks (I know, the morals are probably questionable) and take what clothes aren't in the bin thingy. Take it all home, wash it and what they don't want they take back and what they do want they sell at the local car boot.

Watch out for the pro's though - we had one of the other sellers come and bargain for some stuff. To be fair, we got what we wanted for it, but they put it straight on to their stall at a higher price.
Mind you, had a good laugh when we left and it was still on their stall unsold

I know someone who went to one, when they worked out what they "made" it would have been cheaper to hire a skip for £70 a chuck everything in it!!!
Then again I know a retired couple who go quite a bit and if they come away with £5 they are happy and it gives them something to do every now and then.
Each to their own I guess.
