It's true facebook is full of C**TS
so might be a long one.
I had a Humax HD PVR to sell so listed it on one of the local selling pages, anyways he wanted it urgently but couldnt drive.
so in my best interest i reset the box unplugged it from my panasonic plasma
,packed it up and took it. he looked over it and was happy with the condition after all its only 3 months old.
wake up to a barrage of texts saying it's "blew" his telly up
after a few text exchanges and me offering to come and look at the tv it turns out the tv is not faulty , he just bought it without her say so
you think i should give them a refund

as you say Facebook works well as a tactical solution to a specific problem - keeping in touch with family overseas
we (my wife) used it a lot when our eldest daughter spent a month in Peru on a school exchange and it was brilliant (as was skype)
(and my wife uses it commercially to promote a new business venture)
but as a strategic solution for my life at least (i can absolutely see the benefit for teenagers and kids in there 20's) it is pointless
I have enough real friends to last the rest of my life -- and many many ways to keep i touch other than Facebook

buyer beware.
No refund no fix of tv tell them to do one.
He purchased it and you sold in good faith a non faulty box, you even took it to them!
I think you have been more than fair.

I'm sorry what you got into, Ant. Just don't answer as you have already decided. Their fault if they don't get on. I feel sorry for the geezer, looking at his face in that picture. But then again, he needs to learn to stand his corner. I'm not sure if he can, though. One push from her, and he'll be flat out.
