Funny incident this afternoon
Out for a Sunday drive in the S202 and had to flash a young lady in a Golf R32 out of the duel carriageway fast lane and pointed to my rear view as I went past hopefully so she would take note of what was going on behind her. Anyway at the next set of lights her boyfriend jumped out of the passenger seat, pretty much threw her in the other side and waited for the lights to change with a "look who's driving now" stare.

Only joking mouser, just amused by the first two replies. I suppose you had to be there, his face was an absolute picture, he'd probably just told his girlfriend that he was about to hand me my ***

I had a GTE 16v too. Bought in '93, sold in '97. I have fond memories of that motor as it was my first performance car.
The downside was the tricky handling, particularly in wet weather. I had a few lift-off spins..

I had an original MK I astra (nicked and written off) and a MkII with the digital dash.........nowhere near as fast as my Impreza but boy you did get a lot of bang for your buck
