In this weather it is warm as fast as a petrol - but, yes, generally it takes ages to get warm. The Honda has a Ceramic Heater to warm you because of this .......

I haven't got bored with my Diesel ..... 55mpg around town and 70mpg on the Motorway ..... add to that the neck snapping torque of 340Nm's and it can turn into a Scooby slayer at the flick of the right foot!

Win, Win and Win I do believe?

Yeah time the diesel takes to warm up hurts the efficiency vs a petrol car on short trips.

I'd like to know how many Scoobs you have really taken on Pete?!

It's the £115 a year car tax which really stings .... ha ha ha ha !!!!

Not much can live with me once moving .... the 30-60 overtaking power stuns the Scooby drivers, nothing they can do about it I'm afraid. Sweet .......

Such bollox Pete.

You do get a bit if an 'umph' with these 2.0 TDI's - partly cos of the turbo coming on boost - but 140 horses in a 1400 kg car isn't 'fast'.

I was really smart .... there were 4 bidders after this item .... the reserve hadn't been met even after 10 bids.

I needed to get the reserve, so put in a max bid with 10 minutes to go - it then snapped to the reserve, this flushed out the other bidders of course as now they knew it could be bought.

At 3 minutes I put in a high max bid and it went up to when the last man was standing, ME!

I'm actually not sure what to do now!!!!!!!! Ha Ha Ha!!

What mods did it have?

A shopping trolley could do a 10 second 1/4 with enough money spent.

It's 2.2!!! 200cc greater than a Scooby and boy, does it show out on the road!

It's all about torque .... BHP is for the kiddies, Nm is for the men - the drivers - those who know.

My Mini Cooper Clubman D warms up just as quickly as anything else I have had. The performance is also pretty good, dont know if it is as good as Pete's but it does the same MPG anyway.

Well, I've contacted the seller and asked when can I collect the item - nothing back?

They responded quickly when the auction was running - odd?

I have tracked them down and know their address so I have sent another message asking when I should pick up from XX, AAAAA Road ....... that tells them I know where they live.

I would have thought a seller would have been hot on the case and wanting payment? Is it unusual to have the seller ignore you?

Yeah, OK, who told them it was me!!

Seriously though - what do I do if they simply ignore me? We have a contract, a legally binding one ....... small claims court? I do hope so!

In E-bay speak it was exactly 30 hours and 3 minutes ago.

Considering they responded within an hour to questions via e-mail it seems really odd?

They wanted cash on collection - which is fine by me .... I assume that I do nothing except go, collect and pay?

There is an option saying 'Pay Now' - do I have to click that? I don't want PayPal to pay for it if I click that button ........

I'm a little bemused by what has happened - I thought I would have had the seller keen to sell it?

You have their address...what I would do is post the cash to them including your address on a bit of paper and expect your item in 4/7 days. Thats how Ebay works Pete.
