Default Lightning

I love a good lightning storm, we just had one over the house with some epic forks. Always forget to get the camera out though which got me browsing youtube. Found this little compilation, the one at the start is bonkers! Lucky guy indeed.

I get some pretty spectacular storms out here in Croatia, it's like Thor is hammering on my roof sometimes and I can feel the shock wave and air pressure change.

I was driving along the valley of the hills I live in about 10 days ago and a bolt of lightning hit a pretty decent sized tree about 500m in front of me, big flash with a red glow at the base but no fire, but it was raining pretty hard, never seen one that close before, quite spectacular.

Forget religion, mother nature is God, if such a thing exists.

Vodafone home box or Vip as they call it here, it's much better than a 02 dongle used to have, as long as it's blue light on (3G I think) the box I can watch youtube ect, anything else and no way, only costs £8 a month for 5Gb, and it's pretty instant most of the time, and I can skype with video too but I recon some of that is to do with the macbook air, my old windows lap top was dire.

This might have something to do with it as well, bit of a heat haze but you can see one of the masts on MT Ucka over the valley.

and a couple of the area on a clear day along with my bad boy leo.
