Default Is this Omega watch worth anything?

Bought this years ago from a collector. All working well. Winds itself as you wear on wrist.

Says

OMEGA
Automatic
Chronometer

on front.

Nothing on back.

Any guidance welcomed.

David

Lewis, we are talking about a quality item here not some cut and shut piece of Japanese tinplate.

The face and case look tired to be honest.. Although a lovely watch in its day..

I doubt its worth a lot to be honest..... Timezone used to be a great resource for Omega owners..

If i had to guess on price............£80-£100....

I wouldn't have thought much more than a couple of hundred pounds based on its condition.

It's in a bit of a mess to be honest ..... I've thrown better watches in the bin! I hope you didn't pay more than £5 for it from the Jumble Sale Bric-a-Brac Table

I would have thought its worth between £100-£200 depending on the dial condition. Prices are quite low on vintage watches at the moment due to most peeps being skint.
I bought a longines flagship for my dad for £200. A few years ago they were selling for £500-£750.

The crystal and case can be polished quite cheaply. The dial on the other hand is very expensive to restore. There are how ever new old stock dial's about if your lucky but even that could prove more than this watch is worth. From the photo the dial looks good.

I must be very lucky. My piece of "Japanese tinplate" has been working reliably for years and keeps almost totally accurate time, within less than a second anyway!

My mistake then.

But it certainly looks as though that remark refers to watches.

You would be surprised. For years we have had fake or replica watches. Some are easy to spot and some not so easy. One thing thats becoming more common in Rolex watches being sold is a genuine Rolex but with many of the expensive movement parts removed and replaced with cheap copy's.
