James May needs to understand acceleration though. In his bus test, he said it "accelerates at 1m/sec". What he meant was 1m/sec/sec, otherwise he was stating a speed, not a rate of acceleration.
Other than that, another good one in my opinion.

To be quite honest I was very pleasantly surprised even if for the higher volume industries it's a shame none are British owned. It was surprising in another way as it was Clarkson who three series ago was all doom and gloom about the UK manufacturing sector himself!
That Jag looks and sounds bloody awesome too!

Yes, that kind of brought me down to Earth with a bump LOL! The saddest thing is we have lost our work ethic as a nation That'll be in part the welfare state and another part the spineless nannying governments of the last 30 years then!

Work ethnic was always a bit of a myth anyway. Working people dug ditches and worked in mills for reason other than a work ethic, i.e., work or starve.

Sorry Tony I don't agree. I was brought up to believe that you worked for a living, nowadays the benefit system has bred those who are brought up to think that working for a living is a mug's game when the state will handout enough to live comfortably on! It's their right don't you know!

Not quite, but I reckon anyone able bodied and on jobseekers should do however many hours a week community work that their benefit equates to at the minimum wage.
I feel desperately sorry for those that want a job and for one reason or another can't get one and there are planty of them, but I suspect theyd have no issue with the above. The other side of the coin is that there are people out there who don't want to work and feel why should they if the state pays them not to (which in essence it does). These are the ones that need a kick up the **** and they are perfect ammunition for Cameron and his cloud cuckoo land cronies to label all benefit recipeints as workshy scum!
Then there is the small fact that 2.5 million people in this country are on disability benefit.... do you believe there are 2.5 million people unable to work through sickness because I don't!

Maybe, but the only 'problem' is that they are the 'wrong sort' of people who don't want to labour. Our society gives free passes to more powerful people who don't fancy working 9-5.

Back on topic though: TG was great! I always like that show though; I see it for what it is: entertainment.

+1 Typical of F1 using any opportunity to go O/T to have yet another bash at the Government!
The programme afterwards was also good. Christ did we build ****e cars back then. Was hilarious watching those old cars bouncing everywhere and cornering on it's door handles!

You really are such an insufferable party political animal all too ready to blindly jump to the defence of your heroes even when they are not specifically being criticised ... it's quite laughable!

Sorry, but where have I specifically singled out your beloved Tory government for criticism here?

My original post was generally critical of governments of the last 30 years (as many of my posts are) assuming you can read... I did mention Cameron in passing, but then he is the only PM who wants to tag all benefit claimants as workshy scum..... even Brown had more class than that!
So stuff your

Anyway back on topic the programme was the best of the series and it was good to see how much Britain does actually produce in the various vehicle sectors.. as Chip pointed out in post 1
