Does any of you guys have any recommendations for thermal gloves that actually work? Namely for cycling. The journey to work is 12 miles road riding so with the right base layers and body heat a couple of miles in I can cope with any cold we have faced in recent years everywhere but my hands and fingers which only a few minutes in can become really painful. Have tried various motor cross thermal or cold weather version gloves but already this year im suffering. A bit of dexterity is needed for drink bottle, gears, brakes etc so I've found most ski gloves a bit too cumbersome. Any help much appreciated. Ta

I always have cold hands but a usually warm everywhere else. Bought some really expensive northface gloves to get the digits nice and warm and they are still cold. If you suffer from cold hands the same as me no gloves I found make a difference.

I work in a cold store. We use these. A pair of thermal liners, then thermal gloves. You can get a good hour before you start to feel the cold.
Mittens are best, but as you say, a bit cumbersome for cycling.

Another vote for Sealskinz but I have seen heated gloves with battery packs on wires that run up the arms of the jacket into a pocket.

Cheers for all that! Like the look of a lot of those and am thinking I will try some Mittens aswell as it's only fairly short rides not a lot of gear changing I think I could manage.

Buy something meant for cycling or motorcycling or if budgeting, maybe try seal skinz liner gloves with the marigold idea...
A combination of liner gloves and normal thinsulate gloves didn't work for me. Too much wooly gappy stuff in those thinsulate gloves.
