Thumbs up An Adventure in Space and Time | WHOvians interest thread

Watched An Adventure in Space and Time in the wee hours: Dramatised account of how Doctor Who was brought to the screen in 1963 by a young producer frustrated by TV's glass ceiling and an actor unhappy with a career of hard-man roles.

A fabulous programme, if you've ever seen the first ever episode of Dr Who, you'll appreciate this programme all the more:

I especially liked the Dalek Operator's eye view when going to the set and looking toward the Producer looking it up and down, reminded me of Robocop being looked over by that slimy OCP suit in the testing phase.

Interesting and appropriate, think I'll see if I can watch it over here.

One assumes you have seen Today's Google Doodle on the google home page? If not, get over there and have a look, rather cool

Am I the only one who finds the whole Dr Who thing boring and silly, it didn't appeal to me when I was a kid and things are still the same now.

I remember someone on here having a robot that could be controlled via the web, and let a couple of us have a remote play with it. You could play sounds with it, so I uploaded an Exterminate! sound file and then moved around their front room pretending to be a Dalek, which did cause a few laughs

I saw Dr. Who boys in GN show last night. I have to say that the silver fox Robbie Williams stole the show. He should be the one to be the next Dr. Who.

Please don't say- "Who???"
