mole on my chest: weird goings on.

Had a small, flat-ish mole on my chest for a while now, about 5-6mm diameter. This summer it darkened, and swelled to about twice the size (in height).
So off I went to the quack, who pronounced it not a problem, but offered to remove it if I wanted?
I opted not to bother, but, a week later, the damned thing began to bleed at the edges. This was on a Friday night, so I thought I'd go back after the weekend.
But on the Monday morning, the whole thing fell off and has left not a mark...well, a small pink mark, but that's it.
Anyone ever had experience the same?

Yes, unfortunately it's very contagious and you should be quarantined ASAP for the sake of mankind and civilisation.
I wish the best of luck to you in your sterile tent with gay doctors with funny suits on.

Yes! my 8yr old daugter had one that did exactly that - we were obviously v v worried and took her to the docs - but again they inspected it closely and said it was fine - it fell off a few days later and just left a faint pink mark... it has since gone a little darker but it looks like a freckle now - that was a couple of years ago.
They always say to be *very* careful with moles that darken & bleed, but luckily all good in our experience. phew

Funny you should ask
A few weeks ago I had a mole like growth just under my chin. When the head came off it bled for England. I went to docs three times and they dressed it and it just started bleeding again.
One of the nurses with two grey cells asked the GP who sent me off to a dermatologist who then removed it under a local and sent sample off for analysis. Three weeks later she wrote to say it was a benign haemangioma which is basically a collection of small blood vessels (usually seen in kids according to Wiki). I thought waiting 3 weeks was a poor do as it could have been a nasty![Mad](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/mad.gif)
Get any mole growth checked out. Do not ignore just in case.

I had one do that on my arm, it was tiny though; about 3mm. Problem is in the period of it falling off and me seeing a doctor, I'd be darned if I could find it as there was no trace of it. ![Facepalm](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/facepalm.gif)
I'm currently waiting for results on two cysts that were removed from my head. That was fun; everyone who looks at me and thinks I've been out fighting in pub brawls.![Lol1](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/lol1.gif)
Stiches out next week
