My 7 year old boy watches these films on repeat, and Brian is his favourite character. He's going to be gutted

I keep looking at the pics on bbc etc. can't believe it. And if I'm honest, I can't tell what car it was. Apparently it's a porsche, but I can't see what one. Such a shame. He was over here for thanksgiving too.
