Michael Schumacher "injured" in skiing accident
Breaking news and patchy details so far but apparently Michael Schumacher has been injured in a skiing accident.

Hope he's okay.

I hope he's OK too. One of my favourite F1 drivers and contrary to what most believe from the press a great guy off the track!
Sky are reporting it as a serious head injury, mind you I am taking that with a pinch of salt given the media's thirst for blood!

Tonight his condition has worsened after being operated on and he is now in a coma in a critical condition according to the hospital and his family via his agent..

It's years since I dealt with a severe head injury but it could be an induced coma to deal or help with a particular aspect of the management, not necessarily one directly as a result of loss of brain function.
Modern healthcare with these things is impressive and from what I gather he has experienced state of the art care from the off (treated at scene, airlifted to hospital, top names managing). Look at how Richard Hammond was managed.
Fingers crossed he'll be okay.

Not sure why Toady would be there, apart from as a friend. Be grateful there's not been a comment from a Mr M. Walker. The Curse of Murray is the last thing he needs...
Hopefully he'll be fine. If Stirling Moss can fall down lift shafts and survive, I'm sure Micky can too.
