Who is convoying up for the top Ten shootout?
#2
I think somewhere along the M62 - but not hte hard shoulder would be good, preferably a service station.
What time are the majority of you planning to get there?
I know Chu has to be there for 9am That is gonna be a fair trek
are the rest of you happy for this kind of timescale?
Cheers,
Michelle.

L-M-WRX, me & burr will meet on the M62 I would think.
Give me your mobile number & I will ring you on Sat as well to arrange a meet on the M62 if you want??
Although I must time my run with Plantie, & with him being an entrant then I would imagine it will be early. It takes about 30-40 mins to get to Elvington from the M62/M1 merge.

I would be best heading direct from where I live onto the A50 and M1 I think, not too sure if the M6 is the best option.
So general concensus on meeting point?
Looks like we will be hading for the early time
Better get some sleep the night before for an early start then..........oh and do some bacon butties

mellow yellow
the trick they often play on here is to have one patrol or sat in a hiding place where you cant see them and then have another further up the road!ba5tard5
cant wait to see all these cars!
wish i lived that side of york so i could join the convoy!

You obviously are unaware of my reputation with directions
Not sure if it would be easier for me to cut across onto the M1 or to try to head up Manchester way to meet up with Chu etc, etc?
Decisions, decisions

I am hoping that the peeps I am meeting up with don't expect me to know the way - we could end up in Scotland
So Manchester is the best bet from Stafford area?
Let me know

Yeah get on the M62 towards Leeds
When you come to M! junction for Leeds take North/Leeds/York/Etc
Once on this stay in left as there are about 6 lanes and the left splits for M1/A1 north. Take this as it will take you towards the A1 and York.
Eventually you will come to another split where you join the A1.
Keep going and the road splits again, A1 North or A64 York or Leeds.
Take the A64 for York.
Keep going on this about 18 miles until you come to A1079 for York or Hull. You come off at this and rise up slip road to a big roundabout.
Go right for Hull 4th Exit.
Just as you come off roundabout for Hull you can turn right towards Elvington.
Keep on this road and you come into Elvington.
As you come in airfield is on your right.
Hope this helps
Please note if you get lost its not my fault LMWRX - LOL
See ya on sunday
