welcome one and all, we seem to have a few threads running now, so I thought I would take the time to organise them all to here.
So, wednesday night, 7:30pm we meet here just where the map says "DOOLEY" in Dooley Lane.
It is a pub called the Hare and Hounds, and has a sizable carpark.
I was thinking of heading over towards glossop, and the woodhead pass this time. We could even go up to the top of Holme Moss, which is a fantastic hillclimb.
Let me know if you are coming, so we know who to wait for, see you tomorrow.
chris.

alright chris, i've always had a very positive outlook on life, this year wasn't meant to be but as i said i'm still young. opportunities in my sport dont come around aften and when they do you have to grab them with both hands.
i'll be there on wednesday. what do you mean get us all lost![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
i dont do that, i just leave everyone in my dust and then get myself lost![Embarrassment](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/redface.gif)

Count me in for tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing your holiday snaps Chris! ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'll make my way up to the H&H i think for 7.30pm rather than meet in Macc - I could do with a good drive out.

thanks for a great drive out tonight guys, despite the weather, or maybe because of it.
The pics are s**t, as it was too dark, and the headlights fooled the flash into thinking it was daylight, so just shots of impreza headlights in the dark then!
Did anyone spot that bloody great big bird that flew off one of the marker posts on the way back down holme moss? scared the living daylights out of me!
slippy roads tonight too, so just drove nice and steady.
Sorry I didn't overtake that car back into glossop, it was a BMW 8 series, 840 I think, and I couldn't get past the fat bas**rd! So that is why I dropped back, then floored it a little, just to get a good run.
Hope you all didn't get to dizzy with the route, some of those back country roads were just made for scoobies though, don't you think.
Sorry also about the confusion at the lights in Mellor. Gav lives in marple, and that is where we should have gone, but I wanted to take you up a place called compstall brow on the way back to otterspool. That is why gav turned left, and I went right, hope you made it back blitz.
Look forward to seeing you again, and your navigators!
I will try and do another one for next wednesday, but will need a babysitter as the wife is working,
see you all soon,
drive safe.
chris.
ps, did you remember where the pub was tonight gav, I suppose you will be back first thing in the morning wont you? with your "badly drawn boy" hat on!!!. hehe.

Aye thoroughly enjoyable evening had tonight. Good tricky drive up to "Gav's place" or whatever the pub was called with some really class twisty narrow lanes. Top class service in the pub too - thanks to Gav for arranging that! ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The way back was excellent in the twilight (mind those sheep!) and despite the weather the scenery that could be seen through the cloud and rain was spectacular as always. There was a particularly good bit when we came over the brow of a hill and dropped down in to one of the villages - very nice.
Nice to welcome BB1 to the meet in his shiny new age and look forward to meeting up again for another drive, hopefully on a drier evening, soon.

Hi all! Was a great night, the weather was'nt too good but it just made things more interesting, especially when uve got a rover in the middle of us that must have been flat out lol.
Those damn sheep getting in the way, almost took my front end out (twice), anyway i really look forward to the next meet and maybe the weather will be on our side, fingers crossed hey.
Those roads are great i'd love to have a go at them in the dry.
I got back ok thanx, only took bout 35 mins and called in mc ds on the way, rumble in the tummy im afraid.
C u all at the next meet.

so, turbo, you were in mellor, and andy_s was in marple bridge, and you both heard/saw us go past, hehe. bet you guys were frustrated?
glad to hear you got home ok blitz, your more than welcome out on the next run, see you all again real soon,
Homework is to devize an out and back route, bearing in mind we did about 55 miles from the meeting place, drive out, and back.
this way, we can see more of the local countryside, and the pressure isn't on 1 or 2 people to come up with routes all the time.
depending on numbers attending though, watch out for singletrack country lanes, we got away with it last night, as there were only 4 of us, but anymore, and we would have lost some,
see you soon,
chris.

Yeah any more than 4 and we might have struggled to get through if we had met cars at the wrong points on some of those "rally stages"!

the pub is here gav. Just follow the road up from digle reservoir, up past the chevron on the map, showing a steep incline,(remember that bit?) then to the junction by the MP, and the PH is just over the road by the Y shaped junction on the opposite side of the road.
Have fun!
Chris.

Yeah, it was great drive, hope the weather is better next time, i agree on the single track country lanes issue as we have to be really careful, ive never been on those roads before and with the weather being as bad as it was along with my tyres (lol) it really showed me what the scooby can do.
I said you would be going back to that pub gav, you cant say it is'nt out of the way enough for ya and you know we wont tell lol.
I'll rack my brain and see what i can come up with as far as selecting a route for us with a nice pub on the way.
I wont be able to make next week as im working late but the week after would be no probs, I work shifts you see, its a pain in the *** sometimes but i guess every job has it pros and cons lol.
