big thanks to frank for organising such a great event ,judging by all who attended last night and the comments made ,that every one enjoyed it and would like it to be a regular event every year for all the family to enjoy the illuminations ,
can anyone remember the most heard phrases from passers by ?
"look at all these subarus"
"it must be subaru night"
"i think it must be a subaru meeting"
"REV IT " (so we obliged)lol
and a big thanks goes to all for not creating police attention by driving sensibly.

Yeah - nice one Frank for organising it, traffic was a nightmare and someone I ended up leading the first group to the Airport meeting place (despite not having a clue where I was going).
Yoza - if the kids want to watch the DVD's next time, just bung em in the back of mine at the services (the mrs will love ya for it and they'll be kept quiet, so win-win!)
And I got airbourne following Heather & Stephen on the way back
Not sure the old folks in the TravelInn were very impressed with us either - , I didn't have the loudest exhuast!!!

last night was my first meet and i thought it was "AWESOME" to see everybody in blackpool stop when they heard the roar of our scoobs on the sea front and wave to us all. also made my night when my mates evo broke down at charnock services on the way there and we had to push it to get it going in front of everybody, he was well shown up!!!thanx for a great night and hope to see you all again. tata for now

We missed it all! Arrived at Yeadon round about and followed about 5 scoobies who we presumed we should follow, ended up going up the prom toward the Pleasure Beach, stressed out, seeing the odd scooby going down the prom the other way, asking the same question, Where is all the Scoobies gone? Then ended up back on M55. Hello Jud and Jo, enjoy the drink?

Yes, great night!. Me, the missus and teenage son had a hoot. It should definitely be an annual event.
"Well done" to the guides. We live in the area and thought we might all get stuck in the "big stand still" at the front of the Lights, but the guides found us a real fun route, and all at a good pace!
We will have a giggle remembering it next time we use the route.
If the guys at the TVR factory look at their CCTV footage, they'll get a surprise - 30+ scoobies on their forecourt!
We would have invited all back to ours after, but the scoobs would have filled a couple of streets, and we may not have been too popular with the neighbours this morning!
We heard the same comments as above, plus a loud "I want a scooby now!".
This was our first meet, and we are looking forward to the next Northern one - where & when is the next one, by the way?

Such a good night i could do it all again next week, if it wasn't for the fact that i wanna give the clutch and brakes a few weeks rest! Definately be there at the next one, hope this was first of many. DJ WATTS, i was the local in the silver WRX in front of you for most of the night, u left the pack at the roundabout 5 mins before the other twenty or so joined us again on the prom for the final trip down. Did find us again or miss the last hour?
Hope to meet up with you all again soon.

Yep, have to second all the comments on here, what a great night out, although a few of us did it twice while some of you stood on the focus car park for an hr
Also, did anyone actually see the lights, we were to busy watching everyone elses reactions to the spectacle, also if it's to become a regular jaunt, may I suggest going down the front earlier, so you don't get the p!ssheads giving it all that and running into the roads!!
Great do though, and roll on the next one, when do the lights finish?, would be a good finale

excellent night, brilliant turn out.
only one downside was the porsche driver at charnock richard, there was no need for the attempted burn out, and with all the kiddies running round it could have been a disaster.
did enjoy looking at all the people counting and staring.

Everythings been said by now but I've been around Scoobs a while and have never seen an event quite like that.
Must just complement the Blackpool lads again. Thanks for the effort and the run through the lanes it was appreciated.
Well by me if not the rear passengers, especially when the back drifted on one corner
Pramrace I think you were behind, infront, inside, and alongside about half of the group somehow
Like Craft I was paying more attention to the pedestrians than the lights. Best reaction being from the guy having his picture taken beside the fair.
He moved to the opposite side of the pavement so the photo had a row of Scoobs in the background instead.

now that sounds good frank ,
blackpool run no2 for all those who enjoyed the first one and for all those who stayed at home to watch the football .
i,m sure we can make it as big an event as the first one ,and see how many heads we can turn this time round on blackpool promenade.
