BBQ 5th June - Chez Harry Boy - WYIOC Members
Hi All,
Although this has been mentioned for a little while on a few posts in the Northern section, I thought it was about time we posted it formally. I've also added it to the events section on the WYIOC site.
We had a number of Saturdays available for a potential BBQ for WYIOC members and attendees. The consensus seemed to be that, because of something called football I believe the 5th June was the best compromise date.
So, unless we have a mass 'Noo...' to the idea, let's go for Saturday the 5th June, at our gaff on the South side of Huddersfield, not a million miles away from the world famous Emley Moor TV mast....
So long as you reprobates bring a few bangers, burgers and tinnies, you're all extremely welcome, together with other halves and those that you can identify within reason as other members of family and Scoob (or Evo - steady Sticky ) loving mates....
Directions will be PM'd (at CorradoBoy's suggestion - ta Dave ) nearer to the actual day.
Time is flexible, but I guess from early afternoon onwards, stretching well into the evening and potentially beyond... So, if you feel you can only drop in for a couple of hours or whatever, you'd still be v welcome... I have to work on Monday morning, so no 48 hour stop-overs please.
There's plenty of parking available, so don't worry about your pride & joy (or even your Evo... )
A bit of feedback on numbers would be welcome, so we can be 100% certain that we've got the idea properly nailed....
Thanks guys 'n' gals....
Chris & Kath.

A very gracious offer and gratefully accepted on behalf of Helen and myself.
May I suggest that all those attending RSVP on this thread to centralise all the PM addresses that you will need to contact later.

Just scanning the web for parts now, I think i've found a place in Oldham that has it in stock, gonna call them in the morning and collect on way home from work if they have one in stock... Otherwise, the car ain't going anywhere...
Knee is ok, not so stiff today... Just a couple of cuts and scrapes here and there... Not going to put me off tho!!

Chris,
It's probably better to text me your address in a form TTN3 understands rather than PM'ing as I'll be away from the pc for the week beforehand and I wouldn't be that popular getting home and logging on within 5 mins...
I haven't yet sorted out bluetooth for getting the phone to talk to the ipaq and accesss my email When they try to pair, the connection is chopped immdiately for security reasons even though all the authentication etc is turned off on the ipaq
Are you going Thursday for a masterclass?
Andy

On a brighter note, servicing is cheap (moi), and the part costs £5.99, and is installed in less than 10 minutes....
Much less hassle than the real thing...
