Anyone fancy another Well Lane shootout after Xmas?
#1
I unfortunately missed the last one in October as I was out of the country.
I've done a few more mods and the car is running sweet as
If ther's enough interest I'll contact Well Lane in January and sort out a date that suits everyone.
I went on one last February and it was about £20 each (if you go on your own it's £80 odd.
Let me know.
Cheers

Andy,
I can't do the karting as I weigh over 15 stone so I'm destined to come last. LOL! Put everyone in karts so that we have equal PWR and then it would make it interesting. Karting is no fun when six old kids can lap you with their eyes shut.
Damian.

Cheers Guys,
I reckon we need about 15-20 names (to allow for those who may drop out). If I can get that many, I'll organise it.
Jan, Feb March whatever suits me so I'll try and pick a date that suits everyone.
As soon as we've got a decent number, I'll make firmer plans.
cheers
Rich

I'd be up for another go at Well Lane - if for no other reason than to confirm the readings I got last time !
Any month would suit me, although March I may be too busy at work.

Cheers Folks.
No probs Graham. I'll try and arrange it so you are fully downpiped up
The shortlist so far is as follows
Rich Wild (me)
Damian (Spen555)
Andyman
Steve McCulloch
Boxerflat4
Steve Jackson
Terzo333
Craft
Mellow
Craig Mac
Paul Frank

That's 12 of us.
If I can get 20, I'll give Well Lane a call and set up a date that suits everyone, it'd probably be a Sunday.
February sometime seems to be favourite.
I'll keep you all posted.
Cheers
Rich

No probs at all Bren, Cossies, Evos, anyone welcome!
The more the merrier.
You may have to go on either first or last though as, if I remember correctly, things run quicker and results are more accurate if all cars of the same type are run together without moving the rollers.
Cheers

Just got 3 others to add to the list!
That makes 15 in total so far.
Come on folks, we need at least 20 to make it a proper day.
If we get enough support I'll try and get a magazine involved so you can all be famous (again in some cases)
cheers

Long time - no hear - thought you'd sold the car?? is your sti5?? still standard - or dya have a beat now?
Mellow - nah not in the Scooby, but I'd take you on in my Cosworth, spent about £30k in mods on that little beast (ok so I sold it to a mate but I'd borrow it back for the day!)
Its only pushing over (not saying how much over) 400lbs of torque though so a bit naff! - and the suspension is awful...... if youre a total novice...
This is looking good
C'mon folks you know you want to
Sounds like we may have some powerful Evo boys, a little competition would be good this time round, haha

should I put my Fiesta on just for the crack? If it's only £20 and it helps get the numbers up I'll do it
Bob, fully expecting to be the least powerfull car on the day at about 100bhp but safe in the knowledge he could still whoop mellow round any track, any time

RIGHT!
Cheers Folks, Got my 20 now. If anyone else wants to add their names, no probs, I'll put you on a provisional list in case anyone drops out (as some always have to). I think any more than 20 on the day and it'll be dark by the time we finish!
So here's the list so far:
Rich Wild (me)
Damian (Spen555)
Andyman
Steve McCulloch
Boxerflat4
Steve Jackson
Terzo333
Craft
Mellow
Craig Mac
Paul Frank
Bren
Banshi
Tony Burns
Rich W + mate
Bladerunner
Bob T
3 non-netters
LOL @ Banshi
Yes, you can follow me this time
No probs about the Fiesta Bob, no egos here, we're just all up for a good day out. Was even thinking of getting the Mrs. to put her Saxo VTR on, so you probably wouldn't be the least powerful car there!
Got a few ideas in the bag to make the day run a bit more smoothly (more of that later). In the meantime, I'll phone Well Lane today and get some dates posted, so people can confirm.
Cheers
Rich

Spoke to Well Lane.
The only Sunday they have free in Feb is the 10th.
Is this ok for everyone? Please confirm yes or no and if it doesn't suit most of us then I'll try and set it up for March. If everyone is happy with it, I'll ring 'em quick and book it.
It appears that they are very busy!!
Cheers
