Hi,

I have foolishly volunteered my services to the SIDC as a Regional Organiser.

I am hoping with the involvement of the SIDC members to revive the SIDC up here in the North.

I am fully aware of all the regional meets that happen at the moment that have been organised by members on Scoobynet.

What I would like to do if possible is to have a big meet (a bit like the Big one) where all the members of say Yorkshire (North, south, east and West), Lincolnshire, Humberside and anyone else who is interested meet up every 2 months, for a chat, a nosey, and discuss future events for the SIDC.

I want to try and encourage people to come up with ideas for us members to do.

If you are interested please post below or email me.

As well as this we have a small presence at the RSOC Regional Day at Lightwater Valley on 9th June.
Although the full allocation is now taken, it would still be nice if you could pop over for a chat and to meet the other members, and discuss what you want the SIDC to organise.

As well as this I am hoping to organise, karting, Rolling road days and other events.

Let me know what you think.

And all non SIDC members are also welcome.
The more the merrier.
That way we may be able to tempt you to the darkside.

If the 'NORTH' goes up as far as CUMBRIA let me know, i'd be interested. North East is normally closer than North West even though it's the wrong side???

There has got to be more people who want to get together in the Region, your all having mini meets, so why not have a big meet every 2 months.

I have some events planned, you'll all miss out!!!!

Muddy
meeting every other month sounds about right, any ideas on a venue or if daytime or evening meeting? or does anyone else have views on this?
How about a karting event...I'm sure plenty would be up for it...maybe competing against another club? Lancer? RS? Pug?
Any info on the Japanese sports car show at Thoresby park? Can't find anything out about it...is it still on?
Still need to get off my **** & sort out Blyton...been busy with work & not really had time, but I will sort something!

cheers

Cheers everybody for your replies.

Was expecting more replies though were are the Hull, North Yorks lot!!

Yep, agree we need to find a Venue, as central to everybody as possible, Doncaster or north of Doncaster sounds resonable, what do everybody else think. From here it's only 30/40 minutes to Hull, sheffield, Lincoln, 1hr to teeside so all areas covered, well sort of

Not sure on what time, weekend would be best if there are going to be a few cars there, but yet again it's what becomes the majority vote.

And just to prove that I mean business and hope to have regular events, go here http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadid=100897 it's the Japanese Performance show.

Come on more people need to be involved with this meet to make it a success.

Cheers

Muddy
