The wheels are a fortune. I have an acid bath and bead blaster. So cleaned them back to bare metal. Then had them powder coated as paint just isnt the same.

I agree with the sky blue thing. Other cars would look odd. But this is really nice.
I wrap all sorts of cars and this seems to be my favourite so far.

wanted to know what everyone thought as im not sure whether to use this to go on.my stand.

Car looks fantastic love the colour and so suits the 911. Not a fan of wrapped cars as it isn't as durable as paint and can look tatty when it's been on a while but that's just my opinion and I'm sure others will disagree with me, l!

Im not being biased here but its far better than paint. It pliable so doesnt scratch. If you wreck a panel you can peel it off then reapply one panel without having to blend in god knows how many panels like paint. Also bad wraps will look tatty. A good wrap lasts years. Iv had my bmw wrapped for 4 years now and its still as it was on day one. I wrapped this whole car for 1k better than 3 panels for 800.

painters charging extortionate money is why I got into wrapping, along with not having to constantly polish panels for tiny scratches etc etc.

im not sure where you got vinyl being weak from. It doesnt even stone chip as it absorbs impact.

Yes I agree it is far cheaper to wrap something than repaint it and the few cars that I've seen probably wasn't worth half the value if the 911 so probably the quality of the wrapping etc wouldn't have been as good. I wasn't putting your work down pal the car looks absolutely stunning I was mearly stating the wrapping I've seen wasn't that good.

I think in hours about 25, but the atripping took up allot of time to be fair. Windows had to cime out to remove the door cups. People do them on the car but thats half arsed.

i tryed to wrap my bonnet for the 1st time a few weeks ago and it looked like someone had threw it on from a great height by the end. i came to the conclusion that it is always best to pay a professional.

Are the wheels forged? At what sort of temperatures do you powdercoat them at?

it is harder than you'd think. Minipulating a 2d material into a 3d shape requires a nack to say the least

The wheels arent forged I dont think but they are super light for a 13j. I dont powder coat myself. I acid peel and bead blast myself and send them to a comoany that powder coats aeroplane parts so its all done to a very high standard.

I really like that and I think that the black bits such as the spoiler and wing mirrors go really well, but those black wheels are a bit marmite.

I use the term marmite allot now days. The problem was that not allot would ho well with the loud volour of the car. Silver would lok odd. Anthrecire looked too far from the gloss black spoiler and mirrors so ended up going for the whole black and blue. In persin the wheels look allot better. I may even get a sneaky pic of them close up for you guys.

I'm a big fan of black wheels (I have black wheels on my car) but not those ones. They look too deep and the silver studs just don't suit very well, IMO.

Haha. They are a 13j rear and 11j front. They have to be deep. But I know what you mean. In person they are stunning.

Dont alloys have a tendency to crack when reheated for powder coating?

Certainly not. Maybe if they are cheap alloy. But these guys powder coat and repowder coat airplane parts on a daily basis. They know the ins and out of metals as far as they go. They have been powdercoating alloys for porsche and lotus for years so must also know a thing or two on alloy wheels. Maybe if the alloys qere tsw or something similar but if lotus and porsche use them for refurbs thwn they must be safe.
