Can anyone tell me what power they run at out the box and what sort of power you can get from one?
I've just had a d#ck try and race me in one on a dual carriageway. He was a c#ck but I did like the car. Don't think he was happy when I never entertained him lol. He began slowing down so I had to overtake him then he floored it hoping I would too, I never

I had a 1990 GTI-R back in 1999 in red. It was an awesome piece of kit, the clutch is another weak point and will start slipping around 250-260 BHP and the standard brakes are terrible.
Other than that I really loved that car and there was not much that could keep up, got 155 MPH out of it on a private air field and it handled like a go-cart!
They were mega rare on the UK roads back when I had mine but once the importers flooded the market prices crashed then all the idiots could then buy them and most were wrecked! If you can find a nice clean one at the right price buy it, they will be highly collectible in the near future.
There is not many nice ones left here or in Japan these days and with the American 25 year import rule up this year for 1990 cars the prices have jumped right up in Japan for them to silly money!

I had a modified 300bhp GTi-R years back in black. Was the most fun car I've ever owned I'd say, even better than my 400bhp RX7 and current 340bhp subaru.
They take off like nothing else, it was seriously quick. Very good fun and very very cheap for a lot of car these days.
got 167mph out of mine! On a private runway!

Didn't notice a cage. The windows were black in the back and I didn't look at him as that's what he wanted. It did have a pillar pod of gauges but that's about all I could see.
I was sitting between 70 and 80 and he flew away hoping I would chase him. I never so he slowed right down till I indicated to over take him and when I was side by side, he gunned it again so I just indicated back in behind him

I had a 1.4 2 door Sunny same shape and it was a laugh, could do 120mph too, I absolutely ragged the **** off it everywhere I went, I broke 2nd gear and my boss wasn't too happy, main dealer said it was the first broken gear box they had ever seen on one, handled and went well for what it was.

They can be rapid wee cars with some little mods, your always going to get it from fellow Nissan, Mitsubishi, Ford etc etc drivers its just depends if you take the bait or not, Some folk need to prove they have a quicker car its just the way of life it happens all the time.

My old pulsar from back in the day. Probably 13 years ago now I think when they were still rare in this country and when I used to spend daft amounts of money on cars (pre-wife).
Back in the day that looked cool! Honest!
These really are great cars. I'd have another and they are so cheap now.

Nice one Mr Brown Pants! They may be cheap over here but will it be a mint one with low miles,,I doubt it! The prices have went crazy over in Japan for quality GTi-R's there's not many good ones left over there anymore never mind here! The Yanks are starting to purchase 1990 models with there 25year import rule so that's pumping prices up too on GTi-R's and other performance marques.

I remember back in 2000 when every man and his dog turned into Jap importers and the place got flooded with all sorts. When I had my GTi-R in 99 it was the only one in my area and got all sorts of nice comments from folk as they had never seen a car like it and were blown away by the performance of it. Roll on 2000 into 2001 and they were everywhere, most were low quality imports, imported through Liverpool or Dublin and I seen a few cut and shuts when I was working on some
Then the prices fell and all the **** ends started buying them and turned them into Chav chariots and wrecked the cars image. There a rare sight these days and I can't remember the last time I seen one where I live.

Well was it silver? I painted it silver, so if it was silver it was after I owned it. I lived in LK at the time, about seven years ago. Only had the car a few months, paid £300 for it with no engine and tatty bodywork. Painted it and built a forged engine, tested it and punted it on for £2500 back to the boy I bought it from, then it seemed to change hands quite a bit.
