Default A45 in garage

Noticed a couple of times with gearbox on car that it was hesitant or actualy jumped at times, well yesterday while waiting at the lights it went one better. Gap in traffic & flashed through i accelerated only for car to do nothing, lifted a bit & tried again nothing, then all of a sudden it set off like a rocket. Narrowly avoided other cars and a wall, Mercedes garage (which is 100yrds from where i was) said they could not touch it till next week & to call breakdown. Breakdown confirmed gearbox issues & we drove it the 100 yrds to the dealer. They have now confirmed a problem although they dont know what, and are awaiting go ahead to work on it. For the time being im now in a A180 courtesy car, anyone else have any similar problems??

i didn't BUT i did notice on occasion the lack of thrust when going uphill as though it rides the clutch a lot, then all of a sudden you go... bit dangerous i have to admit as you feel like a Learner driver shooting out at junctions LOL..

Sell it and get a Mini

Has it been modified? Could this be putting strain on the gearbox?
