It's a 1.6 td with a whopping 65bhp, but don't let that fool you, it's a flying machine, it's got a 5 speed gearbox too, the way it pulls up the hills around here is quite impressive, been chuckling my nuts off every time I drive it.
It's registered for almost a year which includes insurance, mot and tax, which costs about 300 euro out here.
Cost me 800 euro which I got from the sale of my Isuzu trooper, I wanted a car I don't have to keep travelling back to the uk with to sort mot etc and it had to be something I like and that's interesting, I just can't get excited about new cars and I hate the 1300 mile drive back to the UK.
Needs a bit of welding in the passenger footwell but nothing serious and I'll probably do that at the weekend, beyond that I'll just tidy it up a bit and enjoy it.
The bloke I bought it off gave me a spare engine, a set of 5 bbs alloys and 2 rear wheel arches so I've got plenty to tinker with as and when time allows.

Yeah me too, it looks crap in the flesh with faded paint and filler in the rear arches, but it's only cosmetic and easily sorted.
Mechanically it's sound with new front suspension, new timing belt, new Hancook tyres all round and a few other bits and bobs so it goes and handles really well for what it is.
It was his little project (hence the blue engine bay) but he said he doesn't have the time or will to do it and his dads been driving it for the last couple of years and has become a bit too ill to drive so he just re-registered it and put it up for sale, lucky me.

Just finished putting a fresh set of pads on the front as the ones on it had seen better days, changed the oil and filter too £16 yes £16 for pads and oil filter gave one of the rear quarters a bit of a polish just to see what it would look like and much to my surprise it came up a treat, so I'll be giving the rest of it the once over tomorrow, seems you can polish a turd after all.

There always has to be one on here.
Here goes as I wouldn't want to disappoint anyone. I was going up a stretch of a hill yesterday with one of the few spots you can overtake and I went flying past some sort of modern Seat that looked fully loaded, I must have been doing at least 65kph, as I went by I looked across and gave it the big un with a little wooo hoooooo come on baby then continued on my way home grinning from ear to ear.
You don't have to go fast to have fun.
