GOLF GTi T and Power Graph ?????

Chins, there nowt wrong with Oettinger or RSD (and mines a SEAT). You'll find unhappy customers from any of the chip tuners if you dig deep enough. I know loads of happy customers of theirs.
The glitches mentioned (such as intermittant boost holding back)are present in 1.8T engine regardless of whether the cars are chipped, or standard.

Sorry if I get pissed off but a certain persons constant moaning drove me off one forum when it made up about 80% of the total posts. He has a right to express his views but it got extremely tedious eventually.
P.S. All chipped VAG cars produce well under quoted figures at Power Station, to do with the way they do the runs and the position of the intercoolers according to some irate VAG tuners I was talking to. In actual fact the Oettinger chipped cars (minus Bills) did very well on a VAG/SEAT 1.8T rolling road day (beating APR/AmD/Upsolute), I think Jabbasports Ibiza came top (just), but with 195bhp rather than the quoted 210bhp. Its not an exact science.
Could have done with the Skoda RS press car there as a benchmark (210bhp allegedly )
Or an Upsolute chipped TDi belching thick black smoke and stuttering a lot.

I have a 2001 Golf GTI T and am thinking of having the thing chiped by a company called APR (www.apreurope.com)
It will take the car from 150 bhp to 207bhp
But im unsure of the drivability of the car !
as its my second car and the wife drives it more than me !!!
so it has to be reliable and drivable!!!
i have posted the power grapg because i dont understand then
SO can someone help me !!!!!!!!
Please

Not knocking APR in the slightest, but if its ultimate reliability and longevity you are after, why not consider AMD (auto-amd) or Oettinger (through RSD) as both do not push the power envelope as far so eat less into the engineering tolerances - ie 195bhp.
The 1.8T engine is capable of mega-horsepower (300+) if other parts are uprated accordingly, but I would have thought that without uprating other parts - dump valve etc, 207bhp is near the edge.
Try audisport.net (I think) which is the equivalent of Scoobynet - I got a lot of good advice when chipping my last two Audis.

As suggested go to Audi-Sport.net. A few of the guy have APR tuned cars. These are a great conversion and rank up their with AMD. Dont go Oettinger. Some of the Seat boys have had major issues. Some infact swapping to APR. Dont worry about driveability.
The beauty of the APR is that the chipping is switchable. So your wife can drive the car using the std map/power, and you can drive it with the extra 50 odd bhp. The map is selected by the cruise control, which is fitted as part of the conversion.

Seen one of these engines push 330+bhp, dont think it was going to be very reliable though, the blue smoke gave that away!
I think 50bhp over std will be enough for you to cope with without upgrading brakes etc
