wife wants to upgrade from her fiesta, needs a bit more room for the shoping!

she likes the scenic and is also considering a 5dr focus- she will spend 7-8k ish on a 99T plate.

are these things ok cars? is there anything better in that range? and is it to simple to say that a 1.6 with 40k miles will be more worn than a 1.8 with 40k? ie- is bigger engine better for wear and tear?

Get the Focus - fab little car , I've been running a 1.6 Zetec on a W - plate to bat up and down the motorway ! Its only got 3 doors but you can have that for 7k if you want.. Black 36k miles, climate pack, elec everything Cd etc.

unfortunate possition the guy is in but there is one here. A bit more than you were thinking of but good value.

Tiggs

Wife liked my Dad's car so much we've kept it and sold her Clio. Was more upset with letting it go than seeing it on the drive.

Very practical car. All my mates are taking the p*ss big time now though!!!

well at this rate we can start an MPV club! have to admit i'd rather jump in that to blast to the shops than the scoob at 18mpg and a few car park nocks for my trouble!
