A m8 is on the edge of buying an FTO. It's had one lady owner, and has covered 30,000 miles. She is however really worried about the tiptronic gearbox going pear shaped, and costing a mint to repair. Has anybody owned an FTO who would be able to comment on the car in general, and in particular the above issue?

never had any probs with mine. Just make sure the ATF is changed reguarly, shouldn't cause any concern whatsoever.
