People wander across from other marques sites and slag of other people/cars. Now before any one jumps on their soap box to point out that i did the exact thing last night, i know and, i'm not proud of it. My point last night was to point out that it doesn't matter what car you own, if you whoop some one in a race, there's nothing more anoying then when the other comes back with"i wasn't trying""the roads were different to the ones i'm used too" Why cant people admit defeat? I've been whooped by many a car some of which Scooby's and some of which id be highly embarresed to mention, but thats neither here or there.
Why do people always use the old "Max Power" image for a car marques they're not fans off? I own a Cav Gsi, which as far as i'm concerned is not a boy racers car. Some may dissagree others may agree, but at the end of the day thats my opinion. I know many Vaux owners that them selves would be horified to be classed as boyracers. No matter what car club you are in, the majority can comfortably be classed as enthusiasts. People that spend stacks of cash trying to get the most out of their cars or those trying to preserve their car the way it left the factory. Whether you go for lairy body styling, hugh wheels, slammed suspension or bloody great turbos with 500+ bhp, it doesn't make you a boyracer. You will all ways get the **** in the Nova/Fiesta/Renault 5/Escort XR3/Saxo and alike try it on and generally give the rest of us a bad name, but thats one of the things that we must all come to terms with. Now some of you might thing that the list of cars are a joke but at the end of the day they are cheap to buy, insure and maintain, thats why they are so popular. I my self wouldn't mind a Scooby, but i cant afford one. I'd kill for a SkyLine but couldn't afford to maintain one.
