on auto express website it says about the new corsa turbo about how its going to leave the clio 172 in its wake but when it gives you its figures you wonder how 175bhp 210nm torque well the clio is 172bhp and 200nm torque the corsa is said to be low 7 0-60 and the clio is 6.8 0-60 ( i know 0-60 dont mean much) and then it goes on about how it might not even get into production let alone over here and if it does it will be de tuned to 160 bhp so how is this going to beat the clio ??????

That's crap for a turbo unless it's some poncy light pressure thing or it's a 1.0 jobbie.

Car A can be less powerful than car B but still be a far better car. It's not just performance you know!

HOWEVER, above mentions two words in the same sentence that means that the Clio won't have anything to worry about. the words are Corsa and Vauxhall.

 

i know its not all performance but as the clio 172 has been said to be the best hot hatch since the williams with one of the best handling chassis around so it makes it even less liekly to actually be true

Nova Gsi (in my mis spent youth) and 2 years ago Astra Gsi16v which was much better than my current car corrado G60!!.... they both hardley ever went seriously wrong, cheap to run and both took severly bad beatings but never complained!!!!

 

common Vauxhalls not that bad how bout vectra, frontera, corsa, nova, astra some might be ok for first cars but non of them are actually that good and the frontera was a bloody disaster, the thing is when they release a new MK of a car they dont actually make them any better now thats not how you design cars is it ?? ok they make nice seats tho

 

they are mickey mouse cars though, same can be said for fords, fiesta's, mrk 5 escorts werent too hot when they came out i remember, what about the probe and first generation mundeos etc...... dont want to start a war but vauxhall arnt all ****!

yeah not saying ford are great but atleast they do get better bar the escort down hill since the mk2 probe well that didnt last long and neither did the mk1 mundano, the fiesta has allways been one of the best small hatches even the mk 1 and 2 xr2 was a better car than the novas even the gsi

xr2's better than novas??? no way, my Gsi was much quicker than xr2's and even xr2i's, novas did handle really well and are very tunable. Dont regret a minute of owing my H plate GSI, was the 'in' thing when i was 19!!! LOL

 

LOL he said BETTER not faster. BTW if your Gsi was quicker than a 2i, then the 2i was sha66ed A Nova Gsi is barely as quick as an xr2! I quiet fancied a Mk3 Astra GSI despite not so good reviews but the Corsa is getting uglier with age! At least it has a turbo - more power arrg arg arg
