Fun as a toy but don't think I'd do much offroad work in one...

The smart soft-roader will be aimed at the American market and the car will have funky styling. Auto Express reports that it will have flared wheelarches, chunky body panels and a jacked-up suspension.
DaimlerChrysler will fit the smart with a permanent four-wheel-drive system. It is expected that the smart SUV will be build in Holland.
It is based on the Tridion concept car, which was showed at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show. Like the City Coupé and the Cabrio, the body design of the smart Tridion is characterized by the use of two colours and two materials: steel for the safety cell and plastic for the body.
