With a new baby just arrived the Puma was a bit short on space and doors so ended up getting a 98 Civic 1.8VTI aerodeck (estate) and i really like it performance is pretty good, has 170BHP, 1/2 leather interior, all electric goodies and the seats are damn comfortable. Plus Honda reliability and build so no worries there.

Dunk - Thanks for the links, got the info i needed before i made my mind up, got useful info on what to look for/at
CM had it up to 8.5K but did not hit the limiter, beleive it is around 8.7K, love the VTEC powerband and howl.
The Civic VTI makes a great 'Q' car IMHO

I had a test drive in one of these cars and was seriously unimpressed, must've missed something.
Funnily, the old guy who took me out was giving me odd looks as I revved the nuts off it to get some power out of it.

8.7k limiter? Think mine must be broke then!
I can understand why people aren't impressed on a test drive - you have to adjust your driving style to match the car (e.g. 1st gear out of slow roundabouts, 2nd gear to overtake someone doing 50 etc).Even then it's never going to have 2-litre turbo shove. But doing 70 in 2nd gear is always going to be good for a laugh.
