Can't answer, but I heard TTE (Toyota Team Europe) offer a chip of sorts, which may or may not affect your warranty, like the PPP in Belgium - I'd be curious to hear more.

Thanks for that Brendan.

Apparently the TTE chip is made by Van Aaken, who have said that it should be available through UK Toyota dealers next year. I suppose it should be ok if it has already been endorsed by TTE. It would be nice to hear some actual comments from someone who has fitted this chip (they claim +30bhp and +35ftlbs increase to the std 110 bhp and 184 ft lbs)to their car as it is fairly expensive at £470.

I see Bromley do a unit for £400, slightly less BHP and torque, has anyone tried this on a D4D engine?

I've no experience with this engine, but to be honest, I've had tuning boxes and re-chips on various diesels and they all give similar results.

The only thing I would look for is either some user-adjustability on rolling road set up at the time of purchase.

That way, you can make sure that black smoke / over-fuelling is at a level until full load that you are happy with.

ie You can probably get 160bhp from the D4D by keep sticking more and more fuel through but its always a balance & compromise.

Bromleys do seem to know what they're doing from what I've read in DieselCar. Don't they offer some sort of satisfaction guarantee ?
